Airlie Beach Snorkeling

A Must-Do for visitors to the Whitsundays is Snorkeling from Airlie Beach on one of the nearby fringing reefs. Whether it is snorkeling the fringing reef at the Northern end of Hook Island for fish life or exploring the rejuvenating coral bommies and reefs of Whitsunday Island. The underwater world is also available to those not wanting to snorkel with our glass-bottom boat alternative.

Utilizing our Captains vast local knowledge, we select the best location available on the day of your Airlie Beach Tour. We snorkel when the tide is best, not too low and not too high!

We stay for approx one hour or more! Therefore everyone has enough time to fully appreciate the underwater world of the Whitsundays.

Firstly though, the Snorkel Safety briefing is conducted. The briefing is further clarified with a discussion on the protection of the reef. In other words by avoiding to lean on, hold onto or touch any part of the living reef – the reef can continue to flourish.

Secondly, the most experienced snorkelers enter the underwater world. Next the intermediate snorkelers and finally those who require more assistance or tuition.

Once all of our snorkelers are comfortable, we then conduct our Glass-bottom boat tours.

All snorkel equipment including fins and floatation devices are provided.

More experiences on this Whitehaven Beach Tour include the award winning Whitehaven Beach and likewise Hill Inlet Lookout.
