**Whitehaven Xpress announces next tours commence 23rd June 2020**

15th March 2020 – Whitehaven Xpress the pioneer of Whitehaven Beach Day Trips made the decision to suspend tours before any other operator in the Whitsundays. Tours were suspended from the 17th March.

With over 30 years of operation and having experienced the Pilots Strike and GFC, we have been first to recognise the risks and take the appropriate action. Our guests, our crew and their families as well as our Whitsunday Community have been given the highest regard when reaching this decision.

20th March – Whitsunday region as a whole remains largely unaffected by the Corona Virus and most Whitehaven Beach tours are still operating.

21st March – The Government has essentially closed down the tourism industry which is considered as non-essential travel.

22nd March – A handful of tour operators are still operating with conditions placed upon clients, regardless of Government advise and the apparent risks involved in assisting the spread of the virus!

23rd March – Finally, no tours are available in the Whitsundays as the award winning operators join in.

25th March – Nationwide limits to indoor outdoor gatherings, basically stay at home to stop the spread!

10th April – Australians are in lock-down for the Holy week Easter period with fewer cases than most.

14th May – Whitehaven Xpress announces next tour for 1st July 2020. (conditions apply)

3rd June – Flights scheduled for 22nd June from Brisbane to Whitsundays.
